We have found that as agencies and private companies approach GIS and project tracking systems, their datasets may be incomplete. In some cases, dissatisfaction with a legacy system may have led to its falling into disuse and the datasets thus not being maintained. Where multiple datasets are being integrated, data standards may not have been used.
